Social Media and the Technologist

Yesterday, Skip Shuda and Marilyn Moran, of Team and a Dream, stopped by our offices to discuss social media and what it means to Chariot's team members. We reviewed some of the basics, but also discussed why a person in the technical field should care.

After our meeting, they sat down for an interview with Ken Rimple. Also, note the video shot is not shaking this time. We now have a tripod!

  1. Marilyn and I really enjoyed the Social Media lunch and learn with the Chariot Team. You guys have so many great ideas on Open Source and SOA to share. I also want to commend you on bringing your team into the social media mix. Not enough companies are engaging their whole team to contribute to the conversation happening on the Web. By educating and energizing your entire team, you can more quickly get your POV out and show the world the value Chariot can contribute.

  2. Thanks so much for having us. Of course there is a lot more to say on the topic that a 1 hour learning session or 3 minute interview simply won't cover. But the gist is this: using social media to connect & share with others is, no doubt, a fact of life today. Technologists of every ilk are harnessing social technology to build & nurture relationships and share/collaborate with other technologists. We're thrilled that Chariot Solutions is leading the charge for bringing the local open source community together online and offline.
